Massena-A Mass of Christian Burial for Sally "Gladys" Regan, 66, of 25 Kent St., Massena, will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Massena, with Rev. Donald F. Manfred celebrating. Burial will be in the Massena Center Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Mrs. Regan died Saturday evening (May 21, 2005) at her home, under the care of her family, friends, and Hospice of the St. Lawrence Valley.
She is survived by three sons, Patrick and Kristen Regan of Victor, Dennis Regan of Penfield, Aaron Regan of Massena; a daughter, Cynthia Sherman of Massena, six grandchildren; Charles Jr. and Kyle Sherman, Marisa Fontaine, Bryn, Ian and Molly Regan; a sister Maybell Miller of Ogdensburg; a niece and two nephews.
Mrs. Regan was born May 11, 1939 in North Lawrence, the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys (Bogarett) Salisbury. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Ogdensburg in 1958.
She married Roger Regan on Sept. 10, 1960 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Ogdensburg with Rev. Msgr. John Waterhouse celebrating. Mr. Regan died on April 9, 2003.
Mrs. Regan was a sales clerk for various stores including National Army Store, P&C Foods, Klein's Sporting Goods Store and Bon Ton for many years.
She was a member of the Massena Home Bureau, Tops Chapter #493, Massena and Massena Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was also a communicant at the Church of the Sacred Heart, where she belonged to the Ladies Christian and Benevolent Association.
Mrs. Regan enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting. She was an avid bowler and belonged to many local bowling leagues. She loved to travel and recently traveled to Hawaii with her son.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.
