Roger D. Regan


(October 26, 1934---April 9, 2003)


Massena----Roger Dennis Regan, 68, 0f 25 Kent Street, died early Wednesday at his home.

Mr. Regan worked in the insurance and compensation department at General Motors, retiring in 1991.

He had also been manager at Loblaw's and had worked in the produce departments at P&C Foods in Massena, Ogdensburg and Watertown.

Born October 26, 1934, in Ogdensburg, son of Dennis J. and Harriet Farden Regan, he graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Ogdensburg, in 1952, and served in the Army from 1957 to 1959.

He married Sally "Gladys" Salisbury on September 10, 1960, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Ogdensburg, with Monsignor John W. Waterhouse officiating.

He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, a member of American Legion Post 79 and an avid deer and duck hunter. He enjoyed gardening, reading and bowling.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Cynthia Sherman, Massena; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick and Kristen, of Victor, Dennis, Penfield, and Aaron, Massena; a brother, Dennis, Avon; a sister Mrs. Fred (Diane) Fry, Stuart, Florida; an uncle, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Donald J. Manfred officiating. Burial will be in Massena Center Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Donaldson Funeral Home, where members of American Legion Post 79 will call at 7:15 p.m.
