(October 4, 1838-January 16, 1912)
Norwood-The sad intelligence of the death of Mr. Michael Regan which occurred about four o'clock Tuesday afternoon at his home caused much pain especially among the older people who have long known Mr. Regan as one of our most active and respected citizens. By his fair dealing and uprightness of character, he made many loyal friends who will be pained to hear of his death. Mr. Regan was a man of simple tastes, warm hearted and kind in all his relations, and a man greatly attached to his family.
Mr. Regan was born in Louisville, Oct. 4, 1838. He was the son of Jeremiah and Bridget Regan. His early life was spent in that town, but for many years lived in the vicinity of Norwood.
He is survived by his widow and four children: Dennis, Josie (Mrs. Oliver St. Amier), Edward M. Regan and Mrs. Thomas Mitchell.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 o'clock at St. Andrew's Church, conducted by Rev. Father Cole, who officiated in Rev. Father Pontier's absence. A large number of relatives and friends were in attendance. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
