(June 21, 1878---May 24, 1913)
Norwood----Mrs. Edward M. Regan, nee Katherine Hurley, 35, died at her home on Baldwin Avenue, Saturday about noon. Mrs. Regan had been ill only about two weeks, having been taken with spinal meningitis on Monday, May 12th, rapidly failing until the end came Saturday. In the death of Mrs. Regan, a husband has been obliged to part with a true and faithful wife, and two small children are deprived of the love of a kind and loving mother. Three sisters and three brothers deeply mourn the loss of their dear sister.
Besides her husband and two children, aged 4 years and 7 months respectively, there survive three sisters, Mrs. Frank Rolfe, Mrs. James Creighton and Miss Hannah Hurley, all of Norwood, and three brothers, Michael of this place, Dennis D. of Syracuse, and James of Ogdensburg.
The funeral services were held at St. Andrew's R. C. Church, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, Father Pontur officiating. Burial was made in Calvary Cemetery.
The attendance at the funeral was very large, the commodious new church being taxed to its full capacity, which testifies of the high esteem of the deceased.
