Anna M. Regan



(May 22, 1871---June 22, 1934)

Norwood----The funeral for Miss Anna M. Regan, who died at her home on South Main Street last Wednesday, was held from St. Andrew's Catholic Church Friday morning at 9:30.

Miss Regan had not been in good health for two years but apparently was recovering following an operation for a hernia at the Potsdam hospital on May 24, when her heart weakened causing her death at 9:50, Wednesday morning. Her two sisters and brother were with her when she died.

Miss Regan was born in the town of Norfolk on May 22, 1871, a daughter of Daniel and Bridget Kennedy Regan. At the death of her father in 1915, Miss Regan and her brother, Daniel, moved to Norwood where they have since resided.

Miss Regan is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Regan Arnold of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. C. J. Peruse of Batavia, Illinois, and one brother, Daniel of Norwood, with whom she made her home.

Funeral services were held from St. Andrew's R. C. church at 9:30 Friday morning, Rev. James E. Joy officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the R. C. cemetery at Norfolk.

The bearers were Mark, Jerry and Frank Regan of Massena, and Edward Regan, Robert Smith and Gerald McQuaid of Norwood.

The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends from Ogdensburg, Waddington, Massena, Potsdam, Chase Mills, Norfolk and Fulton.
