The funeral for Edward M. Reagan, 88, of 39 Baldwin Avenue, former railroad worker and local fuel oil dealer, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Church, with the Rev. Msgr. George Phillips officiating. Interment will be in the Reagan Family Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.
The Knights of Columbus will meet for a recitation of the Rosary at 7:15 this evening at Buck Funeral Home. Mr. Reagan died Tuesday afternoon at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, where he had been a patient since Saturday.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Potsdam Rescue Squad or St. Jude's Hospital.
Surviving are a son, Robert, Norwood; two daughters, Lynn Roecker, North Syracuse, and Arlene Woodward, Edwards; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Wright, Lantana, Fla.
Born at Norwood on June 29, 1901, a son of Dennis and Electa Brink Reagan, he married Mildred J. Bond on August 27, 1923. She died June 30, 1980.
Mr. Reagan was employed with the New York Central Railroad from 1916 to 1961 and owned and operated the M. J. Reagan Coal, Fuel Oil and Appliance Company from 1927 to 1957.
He was a member and past officer of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, a communicant of St. Andrew's Church and the last living charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2309 of Norwood.
