Ogdensburg-John H. "Bob" Lapine, 83, of 712 Greene St., retired salesman for the National Biscuit Co., died Thursday morning at Hunt Memorial Hospital, Danvers, Mass.

Arrangements with the McLellan Funeral Home are incomplete.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas J., Middleton, Mass., and Richard R., Midland, Mich.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna MacCaul, Ogdensburg; several nieces and nephews.

Born at Rouses Point April 12, 1905, a son of Bernard and Margaret Massam Lapine, he moved with his family to Ogdensburg where he was graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy.

He married Mary M. Reagan October 22, 1938, at St. Mary's Cathedral, with Msgr. Louis D. Berube officiating.

Mr. Lapine was employed as a sales representative with the National Biscuit Co. for 33 years, retiring May 1, 1970.

Mrs. Lapine, a civic leader in Ogdensburg, died December 9, 1987, at the age of 76.
