NORWOOD--Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday for Charles S. Drew, 84, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Morley, formerly of Norwood, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1976, at Hendersonville, N.C., will be at the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Lottie, one son, Mowitt of Niles, Mich., six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. One son, John, predeceased him.
Mr. Drew was born in Norwood, May 14, 1892, to Sherman and Alice Nightengale Drew. He graduated from Norwood High School and Syracuse Law School in 1915. He married the former Lottie Mowitt on Jan. 20, 1916 in Utica. For several years he operated the Drew Feed and Coal Co. in Norwood. In 1930 he was associated with the Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. He retired 20 years ago and moved to St. Petersburg. He was visiting Hendersonville at the time of his death. While in Norwood, he was a member of What Cheer Lodge F. and A.M. and the Norwood Congregational Church.
