Mrs. Alice Cutler


(October 8, 1890-February 19, 1971)


Norwood--Mrs. Alice Cutler, 80, former Norwood resident, died Feb. 19, 1971 at the Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient one week.

Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Norwood, with Rev. David Plank, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood, in the spring.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur Cutler, Colton-Pierrepont Road, two sons, Raymond, Potsdam, and Austin, Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Dorrance (Kathleen) Day, Florida; Mrs. Jack (Jean) Manfred, Potsdam, and Mrs. Bernard (Ada) St. Denis, Syracuse, five grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cutler was born in England Oct. 8, 1890 a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Goodwin Bedford. She came to the United States at an early age and was married to Arthur Cutler in 1913. The couple spent most of their married life in the Norwood area where Mr. Cutler was employed in local paper mills. He retired sometime ago and for the past two years they had lived at the Stowe home, Colton-Pierrepont Rd.

Mrs. Cutler was a member of St. Philip’s Church and a former member of the church choir.
