Mrs. Colbert Dies In Hospital


(February 15, 1920-January 27, 1962)


Norwood--Mrs. Ruby Frances Colbert died at 9:30 p.m., Saturday Jan. 27, 1962 in the Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient with pneumonia for two days.

The body was taken to Bucks Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at St. Philips Episcopal Church, Norwood, with the Rev. Walter Read, rector, officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Mrs. Colbert was born in Ottawa on Fe. 15, 1920, a daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John J. and Iva Hopewell Shouldice. She spent her early life in Ottawa and was educated in schools there.

She was married to Kenneth Colbert on Oct. 20, 1951, in Norwood and had lived there ever since. She was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church, St. Philips Guild and the board of trustees of Norwood Library.

Mrs. Colbert is survived by her husband; two children, Linda and Debra; her mother, Mrs. John Shouldice, and two brothers, George and Roy, Petersborough, Ont.
