Kenneth R. Colbert

Norwood--Funeral services for Kenneth R. Colbert, 65, Norwood, were held Monday morning at 11 o’clock at St. Phillip’s Church, with the Rev. David Plank, rector, officiating. Spring burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery.

He died Friday morning, Feb. 16, 1973, in Potsdam Hospital, where he had been admitted the day before.

Mr. Colbert is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Colbert; two daughters, Miss Deborah Colbert, Norwood, and Mrs. Abner (Janice) Agen, Raymondville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Carol) Stanford, Norwood, and Mrs. Kenneth (Meg) Blair, Lewisville; four brothers, John, Albert and Donald, all of Norwood, and George, Melinda, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Darrell (Isabelle) Cloce, Morley, Mrs. Hamilton (Helen) Ferry, Childwold, Mrs. Clifford (Margaret) Wilkins, Winthrop, and Mrs. Frances Colbert, Fisherville, Va.

Mr. Colbert was born in Norwood Sept. 4, 1907, son of Edward and Jessie Russell Colbert. He married Eunice Babbitt, who died in 1950, and later married Ruby Shouldice, who died in 1962. On Jan. 4, 1966, he married Margaret Bush Monro.

Mr. Colbert was a farmer most of his life. In 1970, he retired and became a construction carpenter.

He was a member and vestryman of St. Phillip’s Church, a trustee of Riverside Cemetery Association, and a member of the Blue Mountain Hunting Club.
