Potsdam--Robert C. Chase, 62, Potsdam, R.D. 2, retired employee of the State Department of Transportation, died at his home Tuesday evening, Mar. 20, 1973.
The funeral was held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Seymour Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beulah W. Chase; five sons, Allen, Larry, Marshall and Harold, all of Potsdam, Rodney, serving with the Navy at Newport, R.I.; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Helen) Osgood, Potsdam, Mrs. Donald (Keitha) Tebo, Hannawa Falls; three brothers, Carl, Frank and Roy, a sister, Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Thomas, all of Potsdam, and 22 grandchildren, including Ronnie Chase, who lived with his grandfather. Mr. Chase was predeceased by a brother, Ralph, who died eight years ago.
Born Aug. 6, 1910, at West Stockholm a son of Roy and Olive Smith Chase, he married Beulah Wells at Potsdam March 23, 1931. Mr. Chase retired in October after 42 years of employment with the state department of transportation as a mechanic.
