Arthur W. Chase


(May 22, 1911-December 24, 1969)


Norwood--Funeral services for Arthur W. Chase, 58, Potsdam-Norwood Road, were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 28, 1969, from the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with Rev. M. Russell Lee, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the Spring.

Mr. Chase died Dec. 24 in Syracuse Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient five weeks.

He is survived by his widow Mrs. Blanche Chase; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Chase, Norwood; a son Carl, at home; three step children, Ronald, at home; and Gordon, Potsdam; and Mrs. Perry (June) Hamilton, Colton; eight grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Verdis Fullerton, Norwood.

Mr. Chase was born in Norwood, May 22, 1911, a son of Arthur W. and Jessie Richards Chase. He married Blanche Blair June 23, 1941 and the couple has lived on the Potsdam-Norwood Road all their married life. He has been employed in the maintenance department of the Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company for the past twenty-five years.

He was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church.
