Norwood--Mrs. Laura M. Casselman, 46, wife of Leonard Casselman, 10 Ridge St., Norwood was pronounced dead on arrival at the Potsdam Hospital at 9:30 p.m., Nov. 17, 1971. Mrs. Casselman collapsed while attending the bingo game at the Norwood K. of C. hall.
Funeral services were held from St. Andrews Church Saturday morning with Rev. John Wiley, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Glendon, Norfolk; one granddaughter; her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Wilfred Monica, Norwood; three brothers, Lyle Monica, Connecticut, Joseph Monica, Norwood and Calvin Monica, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Marjorie) Wagstaff, Dover Plains, Mrs. Roy (Audrey) Bushey, Long Island, Mrs. Edward (Lenore) Kozak, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Robert (Lorna) Olsen, Rooseveltown and Miss Gloria Monica, California. A sister, Elaine, died in 1939 and a brother, Eugene, and sister, Theresa, died in 1944.
Mrs. Casselman was born in Norfolk May 28, 1925 a daughter of Wilfred and Rose McGregor Monica. She attended Norwood High School and married Leonard Casselman June 1, 1946. The couple had lived in Norwood their entire married life.
She had been employed at the Pearls Department Store in Potsdam for a number of years and more recently by the Big N Department Store.
Mrs. Casselman was a communicant of St. Andrews Church, Norwood.
