C. A. Campbell Dies on Visit In Michigan


(August 7, 1883-January 31, 1967)


Norwood--Chester A. Campbell, 83, of 6 Whitney St., lifelong resident of the area, died at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday night, Jan. 31, 1967, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Clarence Carter, Northville, Mich., where he had been visiting.

He was born in North Stockholm Aug. 7, 1883, a son of John and Olive Campbell. He was educated in area schools and married Maude Mosher, who died some years ago.

Mr. Campbell was employed as a baggage clerk for the New York Central Railroad for 44 years until he retired a few years ago.

His body will be brought to the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood, with visiting hours starting Thursday afternoon. Day and hour of the funeral will be scheduled later.

Surviving are his sister in Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Arnelia Dishaw, Syracuse; two sons, Donald Campbell, at home, and Kenneth Campbell, Malone; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
