Jessie Butterfield

Winthrop--Funeral services for Jessie T. Butterfield, 60, Route 2, Winthrop, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Garner Funeral Home in Potsdam with the Rev. John Ault officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be this afternoon and evening.

Mrs. Butterfield died Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, 1983, in the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, shortly after her admittance.

Surviving are her husband, William; four sons, Donald and Gary, both of Potsdam, Duane, Colton, and Darrell, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Nola) Henry, Oneonta; a brother, William Hatch, Florida; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Tucker, Madrid, Mrs. Joseph (Cary) Tucker, Florida, and Mrs. Ruth Jenne and Mrs. Lloyd (Irma) Miller, both of Potsdam; and 10 grandchildren.

Mrs. Butterfield was born May 24, 1923 in Potsdam, daughter of Roy and Mae Burkum Hatch. She married William Butterfield on Sept. 2, 1939 in Crary Mills with the Rev. McFay officiating.

She worked in the Plaid Stamp Store in Potsdam and in the Potsdam Laundry until 1977.
