Norwood--Private funeral services were held Wednesday morning for Sealy B. Buck, 55, at the Buck Funeral Home.
The Rev. Russell Lee, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiated and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Buck died in Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse, Monday morning, Nov. 27, 1972, where he had been a patient several weeks.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Wilda Buck, Norwood; his wife, Mrs. Elsie Buck, Watertown; three sons, Lawrence, Plattsburgh, Stephen, Wilkes Barre, Pa., Peter, Watertown; five daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Sharon) Nestico, the Misses Gretchen and Ellen Ann Buck, all of Watertown, Mrs. Joseph (Bonnie) LaMonda, Mahart, Mass.; Mrs. Darwin (Janet) Harris, Copenhagen; a brother, Harold, Colton; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Gonyea, Syracuse, six grandchildren and five nieces.
Born Aug. 30, 1917, at Norwood, son of Harold C. and Wilda Sealy Buck, he was graduated from Norwood High School in 1934 and married Elsie Heatherington in November, 1939.
He was employed for a time at Belleview Hospital, L.I., and upon returning to Norwood was employed with R. J. Plumbing Co. For the last 23 years he was employed at Norwood-Norfolk Central School, where he was maintenance superintendent.
Mr. Buck was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Norwood Fire Department, was a chaplain and past fire chief of the department, member of the department band, past president of the Norwood Kiwanis Club, past president of the St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association, past master of What Cheer Lodge 689, F. & A.M., and member of the Azure Mountain Hunting Club.
