Mrs. Pauline Besaw

Norwood--Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline W. Besaw, 69, wife of Arthur Besaw, Colton, were held Jan. 3, 1970 from the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, with Rev. M. Russel Lee, pastor of the Norwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in the spring.

Mrs. Besaw died Thursday afternoon at the Potsdam Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past two years.

Mrs. Besaw is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (June) Santimaw, Massena, and Mrs. Cleo (Eunice) Talbert of Everton, Mo. Two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Tebo and Mrs. Eva Dillabaugh predeceased her.

She was born in Norwood in 1901 a daughter of Wilbur and Harriet Beswick Wait. She was educated in Norwood schools and operated a beauty shop in Massena for 15 years. She married Arthur Besaw Feb. 3, 1943 and the couple operated the Marcy Hotel in Lake Placid until about 10 years ago when they retired and moved to Colton.
