Norwood--Funeral services for Mrs. Isabel L. Bartlett, 74, wife of Luther Bartlett, Norwood will be held from the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood at 2 p.m. today with Rev. M. Russell Lee, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Norwood, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.
Mrs. Bartlett died Sept. 15, 1969 at the Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient a week. She had been in failing health for some months.
Surviving are her husband, one son Dr. Mendell Bartlett, Madrid, two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Gertrude) Rider, Apalachan and Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Carter, Phoenix, and one sister, Mrs. Rosabel Meashaw of Parishville Center and 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Bartlett was born at Parishville Center July 2, 1895 a daughter of Byron and Katy Cook Parker. She was educated in local schools and graduated from the Potsdam Normal and taught school four years.
She was married to Luther Bartlett of Norwood at Parishville Center Dec. 25, 1920. The couple had been farmers in Norwood their entire married life.
Mrs. Bartlett was a member of the United Church of Christ and served as Sunday School superintendent 17 years and was also active in many other groups of the church and a member of the Norwood Historical Association.
