FORMER NORTH RESIDENT DIES
(October 29,1872- December 29, 1940)
Rome, Dec. 30--Mrs. Katherine Hall Kimpton,68, wife of Josiah Kimpton, and a former resident of Norwood died at the home of her son, Howard H. Kimpton, 111 Expense St., Sunday morning at 5:30.
Death was due to a heart ailment with which she had been troubled for several years.
Funeral services will be held at Scotch Presbyterian church Daily Ridge, near Norwood, Wednesday afternoon at 2 with Rev. George Harland officiating. Burial will be at Daily Ridge cemetery.
She was born in Norwood, Oct. 29, 1872, a daughter of John and Mary Peacock Hall. She was married on March 2, 1905, to Josiah Kimpton of Norwood, in that village. Since their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Kimpton had made their home in Norwood until four years ago when they came to this city to make their home with their son.
Surviving are her husband, one son Howard H. Kimpton of Rome; one sister Mrs. J.B. Pringle of Norwood; two brothers John Hall of Norwood, Jay Hall of Brownville; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
