Jessie Hall

(June 23, 1883- October 22,1911)

Dailey Ridge Oct. 27--Miss Jessie Hall was born June 23, 1883, and died Oct. 22, 1911, having spent all her life at this place. Though never possessing a strong constitution, she never murmured or complained and for the past three years had been gradually failing, retiring at night in her usual health and before morning she had gone to rest. She was of a cheerful and happy disposition, always having a kind word for everyone she met with.

She will be greatly missed by her family and in the home from which she has been taken. There is a vacancy which cannot be filled.

Her funeral was held from the home of her sister, Mrs. George Farmer, where she had made her home for the past three years, on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. H.D. Smith of Madrid, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Dailey Ridge, of which she was a member, speaking from those beautiful words of Paul, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." Her sun has gone down while it is yet day. It seems that many years of life and usefullness might yet have been hers, but the Master knew best and so amidst the beautiful October days we have laid her to rest.

She leaves her mother and three sisters, Mrs. George Farmer, Mrs. J.B. Kimpton, and Mrs. J.B. Pringle of Norwood, and two brothers James Hall of Watertown and John Hall of this place.
