Ernest Graveline

 

(July 30, 1913-October 4, 1981)

 

NORWOOD--Funeral services for Ernest Graveline, 68, 27 Bernard Ave., Norwood, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood with Rev. John Wiley officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam.

Calling hours will be at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood today 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Mr. Graveline died at his home Sunday (Oct. 4, 1981) of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Patricia) Morgan, Potsdam, and Mrs. Gary (Christine) LaPointe, Massena; two sons, Ronald, Norwood, and Ernest, Jr., Clinton, Mass.; two brothers, Harold, Norwood and Raymond, Canton; a sister, Mrs. Loretta Connelly, Potsdam; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Graveline was born in Belmont, N.Y. July 30, 1913, son of Joseph and Alice Monnette Graveline. He married Leona Dunn July 25, 1936 in Malone. Mrs. Graveline died Feb. 27, 1980.

Mr. Graveline worked in the products department at Alcoa for many years, retiring in 1974.

He was a member of St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood and the 25-year Club at Alcoa.
