W. Allgeier Of Norwood Died Monday

 

(July 18, 1886-May 9, 1960)

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Denville Funeral Home, Buffalo, for William H. Allgeier, 73, of 87 N. Main St., Norwood, who died unexpectedly Monday night, May 9, 1960, at his home.

The body was at the Buck Funeral Home, Norwood, Tuesday night where a Masonic service was conducted at 8:15, followed by a prayer service conducted by the Rev. William Mathers, rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church. Wednesday the body was taken to Buffalo. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Davis Allgeier; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Elva) Rood, Norwood, and Mrs. Richard (Marjorie) Priess, Atlanta, Ga., four grandchildren; one brother, Henry Allgeier, Buffalo; four sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Winters, Mrs. John (Elsie) Kaleta, Mrs. Mobrey (Nettie) Jones and Mrs. William (Lena) Rhindfleisch, all of Buffalo.

Mr. Allgeier was born July 18, 1886 in Buffalo, the son of Mathias and Carolina Kripple Allgeier. He and Ethel Davis were married June 21, 1910, in Buffalo. He was superintendent of works at the American Radiator Company in Buffalo, retiring eight years ago. At that time they moved to Norwood to live.

He was a member of Occidental Lodge 766, F. & A.M., Buffalo, St. Lawrence Lodge of Perfection, Norwood, and St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Norwood.
