NORFOLK--The funeral for Nellie M. Tyo, 94, of 20 S. Main St., Norfolk will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with the Rev. George Maroun officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery.
Friends may call at the family home today until the time of the funeral. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tyo died Thursday (Nov. 16, 1989) at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she had been a patient since Nov. 11.
Surviving are two sons, Neil and Wayne, both of Norfolk; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Ethel Williams of Oswego and Wilda Talcott of Norfolk; nieces and nephews.
Nellie M. Tyo was born in Potsdam May 22, 1895, daughter of James and Mary Jane (Carbino) Castle.
She wed William Tyo May 21, 1915. He died in Feb. 1967.
Mrs. Tyo worked in the finishing room at the Norfolk Paper Mill for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk and its Altar and Rosary Society.
