Alexander Lalonde Funeral Tomorrow

Norfolk--Funeral services for Alexander J. Lalonde, 70, of Maple St., Norfolk, will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. from the Norfolk Methodist Church.

The Rev. Charles A. Stewart, pastor of the Norfolk United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Norfolk.

Masonic services will be held at 7:30 tonight at the family home.

Mr. Lalonde died Sept. 10, 1968 in the Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks.

He was born a son of Edward and Mary Hassett Lalonde, in Williamstown, Ont., Nov. 28, 1897. He came to the United States as a young man.

On June 13, 1932, he married Laura A. Travis and settled in Potsdam, moving to Norfolk about four years ago.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. John (Issabelle) Gillespie, Toledo, Ohio; two sons, William L., Norfolk and Albert J. of Essex Junction, Vt.; a stepson, Edward G. Trumble, Cornwall, Ont.; three sisters, Mrs. James (Beatrice) Ferguson, Cornwall, Ont., Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Gaher, Brooklyn, and Mrs. Willard (Redea) Seyeau, Cornwall; two brothers, Philip of Rome and Gordon of Seattle, Washington; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He retired in 1959 from Niagara-Mohawk Power Company and was a member of the 25 year club there and a life member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was also a member of the Racquette River Masonic Lodge, Potsdam, Norfolk Lions Club and the United Methodist Church in Norfolk.
